Al Fresco Dinner Party, Italian Style

Ahh! Summer in Italy! The bright blue Mediterranean Sea, fresh seafood pasta, old cobblestone streets, ancient buildings and art! A girl can dream, right!?

Bring the shores of Italy to your home by hosting an Al Fresco Italian Dinner Party.

Kick off the evening with an Italian Charcuterie & Cocktail Station!

Fill a tray with Italian cheeses (I used Toscano, Pecorino, & Italian Truffle), cured meats like prosciutto and salami, hunks of Ciabatta bread and Parmesan crisp crackers, olives, artichoke hearts, and roasted bell peppers. I scattered sundried tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, and shaved Parmesan throughout the board.

Serve a variety of Italian wines and soda (I love Villa Italia sodas in Blood Orange & Grapefruit flavors from Trader Joe’s).

A Sicilian tablescape!

I set my table with Williams Sonoma’s Sicily Outdoor Dinnerware Collection. I always love their outdoor melamine dinnerware, but this collection really stole my heart! It’s bright colors and festive prints (lemons, florals, and mosaics) made for such a festive and authentically Italian island table.

I lined the center of the table with artichokes, lemons, scattered pasta, and fresh flowers in mini blue vases - an inexpensive and unique spin on a centerpiece!
